The Seminary Guard was the student newspaper of the Union Seminary, a forerunner institution of Albright College, and was co-published by the Excelsior and Neocosmian literary societies. Because of financial problems only three issues were published in 1879. The chief editors were John D. Shortess and Isaiah H. Mauser.
