A letter written by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins to Andrew H. Green, Member of Board of Commissioners Department of Public Parks. The letter speaks about his contract expectations, the various memorials from citizens in his support (see item 39), and his claim of half-year salary of $2,500 while waiting for the promises the board made to be fulfilled.
