Description
This folder contains correspondence from multiple individuals. The correspondences of Ignacio Bolívar y Urrutia is largely written in French and Spanish while the correspondences of A. de Borre and Henri Achard de Bonvouloir are written in French.
Willis Stanley Blatchley or W.S. Blatchley was an entomologist who worked with several orders of insects. Insects discussed throughout his correspondence include but are not limited to Orthoptera, Coleoptera, and Hymenoptera. His correspondence includes exchange lists of insect specimens, with one list featuring Coleoptera collected in Florida. Blatchley was also a collector of beetles for more than twenty years. The American Entomological Society (AES) elected him as a corresponding member in 1924.
E.G. Blundell was an entomologist whose correspondence details his work with Lepidoptera and Hesperiidae while living in Island Lake in Manitoba, Canada. His correspondence largely discusses his plans to reside in British Guiana, known today as Guyana, to expand his work with Lepidoptera that inhabit the area surrounding Mount Roraima.
